Sonnenberg Season Starts Sunday!

We at Bella Rose B&B are always thrilled when Sonnenberg Gardens and 40-room Victorian Mansion opens for the season, which is does on Sunday, May 1.  Built in 1887, it offers history buffs a glimpse of what life was like in the late nineteenth century with a Queen Anne-style mansion and nine formal preserved gardens in this beautiful estate.  Nestled in Canandaigua, NY, in the picturesque Finger Lakes region, Sonnenberg Gardens is a New York State Historic Park offering one of the few remaining estates in the U.S. with this type of architecture and landscaping. Known for its distinctive period architecture, statuary, formal gardens, fountains and unique garden structures, Sonnenberg is a "must-visit" stop among many of your Finger Lakes adventures. So, plan your visit now, and if you are a rose lover, come in mid-June when hundreds of roses are in bloom.  And to make your visit complete, we are just 1/2 mile away through Canandaigua's historic district. Bella Rose B&B -- a Victorian beauty is its own right -- is the perfect place to relax, rest and recharge for everything Finger Lakes, including touring historic Sonnenberg!
